Marie-Thérèse Grisenti, cellist
Marie-Thérèse
GRISENTI began studying piano and cello at the Tarbes music school. She was
later admitted into the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory where she studied the
cello. She then studied with Marc DROBINSKI at the Paris European Conservatory
before spending four years at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow
studying with Igor GAVRICH on a Lavoisier scholarship from the French Foreign
ministry.
From
1995 to 1997, she studied with Sergiu CELIBADACHE, both as a member of a string
quartet, and as first soloist in his orchestra. She took part in the making of
the movie Celibadache’s Garden. From 1997 to 1999, she worked with Michaël
HELL, first soloist at the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. She was a
finalist in the entry competition to the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra Academy.
Marie-Thérèse
GRISENTI won the first prize at the UFAM International Competition and she took
part in international competitions in Douai, Prague and Florence.
She
gave sonata recitals in Russia for the Franco-Russian International exchanges.
She performed in France and in Asia with the Amati Quartet. In 1996, she founded
the Franz Quartet, which gave concerts in numerous historic monuments in France.
She gave duet concerts in France, Spain and Germany with the cellist Marc
DROBINSKI, and played with many other chamber music ensembles. Since 2001, she
has been performing regularly with the pianist Marc Vitantonio in several
countries in Europe.
As
a member of the Futurs-Musiques ensemble, she has premiered numerous
contemporary music works. In May 2004, she premiered a piece for cello and
string orchestra that was dedicated to her by its composer, A. MASHAYEKHI.
As
first soloist in the FAE string orchestra, she has performed at the Salle Cortot
and at the Senate. She also acquired enriching experiences from being the solo
cellist in the Franco German Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, with which she
performed at the Berlin Philharmonia, the W.D.R. in Cologne, and the Beethoven
Hall in Bonn. She was invited by the European Symphony Orchestra to perform at
the Cité de la Musique and the Salle Pleyel in Paris.
Marie
Thérèse GRISENTI currently teaches at the Cachan Music School (ENMAD). She is
preparing to perform Haydn’s Concerto in D Major with the Uzgorod (Ukraine)
Philharmonia, the Paris-Jussieu University Orchestra and the Cachan ENMAD
Orchestra. |
